Des Christy: Climate Change Adaptation in Coastal Jakarta

Des Christy is a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Anthropology, Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Her current research focuses on how local and central government authorities contest different visions of the future of coastal Jakarta, and how the local community of Muara Angke, North Jakarta, has responded to these contestations.
