Offline Indonesian Language Course at University of Vienna – Winter Semester 2026/27

Dear colleagues and students,

We are happy to announce that in the forthcoming winter semester 2026/27, the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Vienna will be able to continue offering an OFFLINE Indonesian Language Course. It will start on Monday, 5 October 2026. Please find detailed information on the attached flyer and online:

Our teachers, Ms Ning Idja Jasman and Ms Sarlita Dewi Matra, are native speakers as well as professional and experienced Indonesian language teachers.

All classes will be held offline at the University of Vienna:
Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology

A-1010 Vienna

Students at Austrian universities who regularly attend the classes and pass the exams can be awarded ECTS. Requirements for receiving ECTS are:
Students at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Vienna have to complete the StEOP successfully before they can get ECTS for the language course.
Students at other Austrian universities have to apply for “Mitbelegung” at the University of Vienna.
However, students and staff of other teaching and research institutions, as well as people without any such affiliation, are equally welcome. The course can be attended by anyone interested in the Indonesian language and culture.
